BSED was established in 1957 by state legislation as a nonprofit service cooperative in order to provide valid, cost effective services to its member districts; each district contributes its fair share of funding on behalf of these services. Today it continues to be dedicated to providing shared resources which help ensure equitable access for all learners across boundaries within Central Minnesota.
