What does GHEC mean in UNCLASSIFIED

The Greater Houston Entertainment Coalition (GHEC) is a nonprofit organization that aims to promote and foster the growth of Houston's creative community. GHEC provides unique mentorship, educational, networking and networking opportunities for creatives in the Houston area.

You can become a member of GHEC by applying online at our website. Memberships are offered in a variety of tiers so you can choose the level that best suits your needs. There are also volunteer positions available if you’d like to lend your skills and time to helping GHEC reach its mission.

Our members enjoy exclusive access to workshops, events, resources and discounts geared towards their artistic endeavors. We also have an extensive network of professionals in the entertainment industry who are always willing to help our members hone their craft and explore new opportunities.

Membership is open to creatives involved in visual arts, music, film/video production, theater performance, and more! All applicants must be between 18-35 years old and demonstrate a commitment to fostering their artistry through dedication and discipline.

Yes! There is an annual membership fee associated with joining our organization – however depending on your chosen tier you may qualify for discounted rates or waivers in certain circumstances. Please check our website for more information about fees & payment options.

For basic membership applications we require all applicants to be between 18-35 years old; however we do offer scholarships & discounted rates as well as mentorships for artists outside this age range who are committed to honing their craft within the Houston area.
