ACAF's mission is to engage local youth audiences into deeper exploration of art practices by creating meaningful opportunities to participate in meaningful creative activities related to contemporaryart practice across the region’s borders while also promoting interdisciplinary exchanges between artists from across geographic regions through collaborative projects that explore issues of common concern such as identity politics or post-conflict societies. Alexandria Contemporary Arts Forum (ACAF) is dedicated to the appreciation, evaluation, and promotion of contemporary visual arts in Alexandria. What kind of exhibitions does ACAF host?

ACAF hosts three types of exhibitions: curated/group exhibition from local/international talents; solo shows featuring one artist's work; and student painting/sculpture/photography projects. All exhibitions are juried by our board of advisors based on quality of artwork submitted and relevance to our mission.

How can I submit my artworks for consideration?

You may submit your artwork for consideration by completing an online application form available on our website or through email. We also accept physical art pieces mailed directly to ACAF upon request. We announce call-for-submissions around six months before each exhibit opens allowing prospective exhibitors adequate time for preparation and submission review/selection prior to opening day.
